OUR STORY
Built on purpose. Shaped by faith.
Two different strengths. One shared purpose.
What began with a passion for finding better ways to do things grew into a business grounded in faith, creativity, and a desire to help others succeed.
Clay Dawson Group began in 2022 when Donzell Dawson, following a layoff from T-Mobile, saw an opportunity to turn a lifelong passion for problem-solving into something more.
As a product manager, Donzell spent his career finding ways to make systems and processes more efficient. But that mindset didn't stop at the office. Whether at work or at home, he's always looking for a better way to do things. His familiar saying, "I'm trying to find my technique," reflects his curiosity, love of learning, and willingness to explore new technologies. He believes there's value in giving something a try—you never know what's possible until you do.
April brings a different but complementary set of gifts. A stay-at-home mom and homeschool teacher with a love for numbers, spreadsheets, and formulas, she finds joy in bringing order to complexity. While some people express their creativity through drawing or painting, April finds hers in building a spreadsheet that makes everything work just right.
Together, we bring curiosity, creativity, and practical problem-solving to the businesses we serve. We believe that everyone has unique gifts, and that those gifts are meant to be used with purpose.
At the heart of Clay Dawson Group is our faith and a desire to help build the Kingdom of God. Our prayer is that the talents we've been given can help others pursue their own calling, strengthen their businesses, and make a meaningful difference in the lives of those they serve.
For us, Shape What Matters is more than a tagline. It's a reminder to be intentional with our gifts, our work, and the opportunities God places before us.
